Goodbye 2024, Hello 2025: Escaping Digital Distractions and Embracing Natural Attractions
Birth of Clarity #49
Welcome to the Birth of Clarity newsletter on Substack.
Society’s slow descent into darkness in 2024 paralleled the domination of digital distractions on today’s impressionable minds.
Caged by constant content, those brains were bombarded by a barrage of aggressive algorithms designed to deliberately dumb down dreams and destroy desires.
Informative videos were viewed fast and furiously but afforded only fleeting fascination from the feeble thought boxes of the overstimulated slaves snared by instant gratification, and void of independent thinking.
Those buoyed by bloodshed and brutality were rewarded in 2024 with fights and violence – freely available and flippantly viewed on social media, crammed into computer games, and highlighted in HD.
Music – manipulated and agenda-driven – degenerated so significantly that singers resembled strippers and satanic spirits rather than talented songwriters or gifted performers.
While, propaganda and fear were promoted by the mainstream media (and mainstream alternative media) at the behest of our oppressive overlords, causing deliberate division and perpetuating pandemonium.
All-in-all, 2024 proved how easy it is for people to become numb to the world. To be led away from your physical, mental and spiritual best. To be poisoned by parliamentary parasites who prey on weakness. To be exploited by so-called ‘elites’.
However, those who deliberately ditched their digital doom devices, turned off their TVs, put down their phones, and chose critical thinking, were rewarded with an ever-evolving, yet still breathtakingly beautiful, natural world - the living, breathing heartbeat of human existence.
As some people’s identities worryingly wobbled and intertwined with ideologies instituted by the State, others found nourishment from nature’s nurturing embrace and elevated their minds, bodies and souls.
Nature has a remarkable ability to replenish the body, refresh the soul and restore the mind.

Nature returned to prominence for me towards the tail end of 2024. After struggling with my mental health for the first part of the year, life as a sober dad became more freeing when I returned to regular walks, swims in the sea, jogs in nature, and reading more books!
I felt my world opened up again.
I shifted some weight - both mentally and physically. My energy levels increased and youthful exuberance remarkably returned. My mind became clearer, my body felt lighter and my heart and soul felt like they were slowly healing.
That’s why I personally pledge to continue my crusade of showcasing the benefits of soaking up sunlight, feasting on fresh air, moving in nature, cultivating clarity, living, laughing and loving, sleeping soundly, and exercising your mind, body and soul.
In 2025, I will continue to exercise in nature and spend less time online. I will continue to question things and not be led by governments who don’t have my best interest at heart. I will continue to push myself and not fall victim to comfort. I will continue to read and write rather than procrastinate and stagnate.
I wish the same for you.
For us to be able to focus on what matters, we need to replace habitual scrolling, propaganda-led media, and a sedentary lifestyle, with exercise, mindfulness and nature.
By doing this, 2025 will be filled with happiness, fulfillment and purpose.
I wish you all a wonderful year!
