Now for those who think this is a rather negative way to start a newsletter, I have some good news:
You can use this knowledge to pursue a journey of self-improvement.
The quicker you start placing more importance on self-improvement, the sooner you'll notice growth and betterment within yourself.
Self-improvement might seem like a lot of cliches, platitudes and quotes from stoics.
But in a world that is overwhelmed with people spreading negativity, the media selling propaganda, and full of hatred, fear, laziness and uncomfortable comfort, setting a positive example of self-improvement should be celebrated.

Fear
Self improvement scares people. It scares the people who are about to embark on their journey. It can also scare the people they may leave behind because you’re upsetting the balance.
This tweet sums up what I'm talking about.
Stop living in fear.
At some point you need to take ownership of who you are, and if you don't know who that is yet, then this is your chance to find yourself.
It is not something to be fearful of, but rather something to embrace.
You get the chance to:
Experience life
Adventure
Take risks
Dive into self-discovery
Don't be scared to put your mind, body and even your soul to the test.
This is your opportunity to get to know yourself, to find out what makes you tick and to figure out how you operate.
Fear kills action 🔄 action kills fear.
Be on the right side of this.

Action
You have the power to change the trajectory of your life, but only with
ACTION.
No one will do the work for you.
You just need to show up every day and put in the work. Make daily progress and dedicate a set time each day to an area of self-improvement.
Highlight something you want to experience growth in and get to work.
Zero in on what you want to improve and avoid distractions.
Turn off your phone AND place it in another room.
Take action
Be disciplined
Enjoy the process
Experience results
It's up to you to take CONTROL of your life & really OWN it.
It's time to be the master of your own destiny and improvement can't be made without action.
Continuous improvement won't be made without discipline.
Financial, spiritual and physical greatness won't be achieved without both.
Freedom starts in your mind and will manifest itself through action and discipline.
It’s never too late to start
Don't give up on pursuing a self-improvement journey because of your age.
Don't unnecessarily confine yourself to comfort, habit & stagnation because you believe you're too old to start.
You're not.
It's never too late to start being positive
It's never too late to start eating healthily
It's never too late to start regular exercise
It's never too late to start meditating daily
It's never too late to start sleeping properly
It's never too late to start self-improvement
One of the joys of life, at its core, is to challenge yourself and see what you're capable of, and that can start at any age.
You can achieve progression and still build a positive legacy when you're older.
Keep pushing forward, no matter how old you are.
Conclusion
I like this tweet as it highlights it isn't just about adding positive things into your life, it's also about subtracting the negative from it.
Don't let your development stagnate.
Watch out for complacency and avoid slipping back into old destructive mindsets and behaviours.
Remember, it's progress, not perfection.
Sit quietly with yourself and start an internal dialogue in order to gain some self-confidence. You are on a journey to know who you are, and what you're capable of.
Have courage in your convictions and become the person you want to be.
Each morning practice some gratitude for the things you have in your life, during the day talk to yourself with some positive affirmations that'll keep you on track and end your day with some personal inventory highlighting the things you need to do to progress on your self-improvement journey.
And watch your life improve.
Don't give up. You can do this.
Becoming a ruthless warrior on your path to self-improvement:
defeat your weaknesses
crush your bad habits
dropkick your vices
smash your self-doubt
destroy your fears
eradicate your laziness
eliminate your victim mentality
Get out of your own way and rise to the top.
