Out With The New, In With The Old
Yes, you read that right - The Chaos And Clarity Journals has changed!
Hey guys,
Welcome back!
Why did you sign up for this newsletter?
I imagine a lot of you will say that it's because of my experience with alcohol and addiction recovery - which is awesome because I want to get back to writing about that.
Although I don’t feel like I have got too far away from it, I do feel that the chaos and clarity element had got in the way of the original vision for this newsletter.
I feel like maybe I’ve been a little all over the place with this version of it and I want to get back on track.
If you have subscribed to this newsletter from the Find Your Tribe days then you will know that it progressed to the Birth of Clarity newsletter before becoming The Chaos and Clarity Journals.
Unlike other email list builders and content platforms, Substack, in my opinion, is geared towards longer-form articles rather than sales emails - which is why I gravitated towards it in the first place - before everyone jumped on the bandwagon!
Over the years I've written a lot of emails/ newsletters and I appreciate those who have read them and stuck with me through the changes.
The Find Your Tribe newsletter was very successful and helped launch my (short-lived for personal reason) Men’s only support group and the Birth of Clarity was very popular, from which I received some amazing comments, support and momentum.
The Chaos and Clarity Journals, however, has not lived up to my own expectations. I think I know why but needless to say, I think it’s time for a change.
So as you can see, I've brought back the Birth of Clarity newsletter - and I envision this being the last change I make!
The Chaos and Clarity Journals has been a very interesting experiment, for lack of a better word, but it's time to return to the core of this newsletter.
I will continue to write my best and hopefully provide you with value, guidance, help and support, as I've always tried to do, with a little entertainment and some personal stories thrown in for good measure.
The Birth of Clarity newsletter will once again be focusing on addiction, recovery and mindset/ mental health.
Side note: I will continue to let you know about offers from friends regarding their products/courses/books - only things I use myself - and I will also inform you of any of my upcoming projects.
There will be links within the newsletters to products and projects but no specific sales pitches… unless warranted.
If I'm honest, the topic of addiction is a hard one to constantly write about because it does bring up memories of the chaos I was in, but I know that people join this newsletter for that so I will do my best to continue to deliver it.
As the final nail goes in the coffin on The Chaos and Clarity Journals, I admit that I am sad to see it go as it’s hard when you have a vision in your head and it doesn't transpire the way you expect.
But we live and learn.
And sometimes it’s time to get back to basics.
Keep things simple.
For those of you that are interested in reading content directed towards dads then I have contributed some articles towards dadmantalks.com run by my friend Shane.
I also have another project launching soon geared towards Sober Dads and dads looking to get sober. Watch this space.
Currently, I am busy trying to get everything together for my upcoming book but I will continue to release newsletters for you and I will still be releasing more for the premium subscribers.
They say; out with the old and in with the new, but I feel rejuvenated knowing that I am going back to basics.
