Welcome to the Birth of Clarity newsletter.
I totally understand how people get addicted or drawn in by TikTok crazes like this "NPC-style" one - https://twitter.com/BirthofClarity/status/1682341355677179904?s=20 - but I still find it ridiculous.
It really makes me fear for humanity. It makes me fear for the future - a future my son and his future kids will be a part of.
You can see how easily children get swept up in these weird viral crazes.
Lots of flashing colours. Lots of sounds. Pretty, scantily clad women. Cartoon-like images. The ability to have an impact on the videos by tipping, etc.
TikTok and such apps are, in my opinion, the height of degeneracy. A sign that society is lost.
Debauchery has become so visible that no one is shocked anymore. Or worse, no one recognises it.
I worry that parents aren't stepping up and shutting this sort of thing down BEFORE they become a problem.
Better to deal with the problem first than deal with the consequences.
Action > reaction.
"But it's harmless fun."
Well, it may start out like that (it really doesn't) but where does it lead? And where does it end?
Does it lead to financial gain for the performers? Yes.
Does it earn big money for corporations leaching off young and innocent minds? Yes.
Is it leading to a generation so lost, confused and addicted to social media? Yes.
People are actually coughing up cash for these ridiculous videos and the performers and social media companies/sites are profiting off, exploiting and contributing to mental illness and the downfall of society.
The youth of today are being brainwashed and some parents are misguidedly allowing it to happen under their own roof.
I’ve spoken before about this.
“Your favourite social media apps are now plagued with over-sexualised content and porn.
“Instagram has gone from sunset shots to bikini shots and from harmless selfies to OnlyFans promotions.
“And Twitter is a cesspool. You can stumble upon hardcore without much effort and sadly with very little concern or censorship from the people who run the platform.
“All this is shaping your mind and that of your kids.”

Vigilance
Hopefully, these kinds of crazes are just that. And my hope is that they don't escalate to too much more.
My worry, as a father, is for the children and the next generations.
With the push towards digital life becoming more and more real as each year passes and new innovations such as the Metaverse become reality, we owe it to ourselves, our children and those we love to reject them.
In fact, we owe it to ourselves, our children and those we love to go in the opposite direction.
With every mention of a new digital world, we should push towards a more natural life.
As each digital initiative gets launched, we should become more focused on nature.
The best way to counter this TikTok reality is with mountain hikes and swims in the sea.
We need to start experiencing life offline and detach ourselves from the digital world.
We need to be vigilant of our participation in this online nonsense and really forge a life for ourselves in the real world.
“In a world where vast amounts of people appear to have sold their souls for digital fame.
”Reconnect with the earth by taking walks in nature, swimming in the sea & exploring new places.
”Don't be afraid to ditch the digital realm & pursue a rebirth in the physical. Break free.”
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this issue.
